Individual and Couples Therapy in Santa Cruz, California

HI there, I'm Eileen

I know therapy is the work I was meant to do and I'm blessed to do it here with you.

I am a mom first to two beautiful children, a wife, a sibling, a friend, a daughter, an artist and psychotherapist. I live and work in Santa Cruz, California and am so happy to be here. I feel strongly that who I am is not dictated by the work I do but all the pieces from different facets of my life that come together to make me me.

I began my professional education in undergrad in Greensboro, NC where I received a degree in Psychology and Sport Administration. I then went on to attend graduate school in Denver, CO at the University of Denver School of Social Work. There I received a degree in Masters of Social Work with a focus in high risk youth.

Since then I have worked for the department of human services, both an adolescent and adult psychiatric facility, multiple community hospitals in the behavioral health department, in a genetic counseling program, and in private practice. I continue to advance my education through certifications and trainings, most recently in trauma informed care - EMDR. I feel strongly that these advancements are so important to maintain relevancy and work from an empirical standpoint.

Therapy in a Respectful and Safe Space

I believe in a holistic mind-body approach to healing.

My method of practice is eclectic however rooted in trauma-informed care. I believe strongly in coming from a mind-body perspective and include both cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, mindfulness work, dialectical behavioral approaches, strength-based work, and a somatic approach to healing.

It is my goal to create a safe space where you can tap into your true self and walk your journey right where you are in the healing process. Here are my areas of expertise:
